USAIN BOLT!
How are you feeling about your form and condition so far this season?
My preparations through the winter have been very good, and in Kingston a few weeks ago I had my best 100m start ever. I am confident that I can achieve the goals I have set myself for this year.
What
are your hopes for the Olympic Games 2012?
I am going to London to defend my Olympic titles in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m. It’s as simple as that.

Where
do you see room for yourself to improve?
At the moment it is still early season and I am still working to get into even greater the shape than 2008 and 2009. It has started well and my coach Glen Mills and I continue to work on perfecting little things here and there. For me once I execute well I will always run fast.

What
is the best thing about the Olympic Games?
The Olympics is the biggest sporting event and the whole world will be watching. I want to be a legend in sport and winning more gold medals in London will make me a legend. London is a great city and the atmosphere should be amazing. Also, lots of people from Jamaica will be there to watch, there is a big Jamaican community in London, which makes it really big for me as well.

Do
you have any superstitions or routines? Is there anything you always do before
each race?
I don’t really believe in superstitions. I believe in hard work, talent and discipline that lead to success. But I do have some routines, just because they help me to stay focused and not get distracted before a race. I usually try to be myself, have fun and stay relaxed.

Speaking
of shoes- You will be running all competitions this year in the PUMA evoSPEED Sprint
LTD. What is your opinion of this shoe?
Wearing the right spike during a competition is extremely important. The evoSPEED spike has a really good fit, they are so comfortable to wear and it is so light – it almost feels like you’re not wearing a shoe. All these things make it easy to get up to high speed in a very short time.

Earlier
this year you got to meet Prince Harry. How much of honour was this to you?
Meeting Prince Harry was a great experience. Of course it is an absolute honour for an athlete to get the chance to meet someone of the royal family. Harry was very down-to-earth and a fun guy. Maybe I will get to meet him again in London – he said he would come to the after party!
