DWAYNE JOHNSON!
Do you
have any phobias, like lizards or spiders or anything weird that you
encountered in Hawaii?
Sure! The spider thing I’ve never liked, but who
does though? Otherwise, not really.I grew up here in Hawaii, so I was
used to everything that was here.
What was
it like going back and visiting your high school?
Visiting the high school was awesome. I haven’t been there since I was 14-15
years old. I visited my high
school unannounced. I wanted to go
to where the football field was and where the weight room was where I spent so
much time and where I started to understand the value of discipline and hard
work.
What did
you say to the kids?
I spoke with the principal first of all and wanted
to know how the students were doing and how the school’s doing. He was very, very happy and proud to
tell me how well the students are doing. I told all the kids that after all
these years, it’s amazing to come back.
I told everybody to keep up the great work and keep chasing greatness.
You were
something of a troublemaker back then.
When you were driving around, did you pass any places that brought back
some of those memories?
I did and that became my reflective moment as I’m driving through town and
looking at all the places that I got in trouble. I was very fortunate at that time that I had great parents
who were patient. I also had a
couple of coaches at that time who believed in my potential, even when I didn’t. And that’s an admirable thing to do, I
think, in any coach or any adult figure in someone’s life to a kid who’s
getting in trouble. ‘I see your
potential.’ So, I’m grateful about
that.
How did
you pull off the stunt where you are riding on giant bees? Was it a rig that you rode on?
It’s a big rig that goes up and down, and we had
multiple cameras filming all around.
We’re against a green screen.
We have cranes and jib cams (a camera on a long pole), because this was
a very big sequence. And when you
read it, the scene written on the page doesn’t do the scene on the screen
justice. It’s going to be visually
stunning and amazing, especially with the colours.
You’ve
had had some hard times in life.
Do you ever think, ‘I can’t believe this is my life now?’
Every day.
Every day in some form or fashion I have a moment of gratitude. I’m
lucky, I believe in hard work, and I believe hard works pays. That’s a mantra
that I have, there's great value in that but also a little bit of luck, too.

SERGIO AGUERO!
How do you feel your first season has been? Really good. I feel very settled in England, I am happy with my team-mates and at the club, and delighted that I was able to help us win the Premier League in my first year here.
Were you satisfied with your own performance? Yes, I think so. I have adapted pretty well and, like I say, I am settled in England. I came to Manchester City to win titles and that is what we have done.
What is the best thing about living in England? When it is not raining? I like the fans. They are very respectful.
What are the targets for next season? More titles. We have to get better, because we know our rivals will improve. And we want to make progress on Europe, too. The Champions League is important for the club.
Euro 2012 - who are the contenders? I don't mind who wins, particularly, but I will definitely be watching it. There are some really good teams. Spain, Germany and Holland will all be very strong. How do you like your new boots, the evoSPEED 1 FG? The new boots really impressed me. As a striker I always need to get up to speed very quickly and the boots seem to be perfectly suitable for this. I like how flexible the sole is, it helps me to change directions quicker and really distinguishes them from other football boots.
What is the main difference? Probably the comfort – that is the most noticeable thing. They are really comfortable to wear.

USAIN BOLT!
How are you feeling about your form and condition so far this season? My preparations through the winter have been very good, and in Kingston a few weeks ago I had my best 100m start ever. I am confident that I can achieve the goals I have set myself for this year.
What
are your hopes for the Olympic Games 2012? I am going to London to defend my Olympic
titles in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m. It’s as simple as that.
Where
do you see room for yourself to improve? At the moment it is still early season and I am
still working to get into even greater the shape than 2008 and 2009. It has
started well and my coach Glen Mills and I continue to work on perfecting
little things here and there. For me once I execute well I will always
run fast.
What
is the best thing about the Olympic Games? The Olympics is the biggest sporting event and
the whole world will be watching. I want to be a
legend in sport and winning more gold medals in London will make me a
legend. London is a great city and the atmosphere should be amazing. Also,
lots of people from Jamaica will be there to watch, there is a big Jamaican
community in London, which makes it really big for me as well.
Do
you have any superstitions or routines? Is there anything you always do before
each race? I don’t really believe in superstitions. I
believe in hard work, talent and discipline that lead to success. But I do have
some routines, just because they help me to stay focused and not get distracted
before a race. I usually try to be myself, have fun and stay relaxed.
Speaking
of shoes- You will be running all competitions this year in the PUMA evoSPEED Sprint
LTD. What is your opinion of this shoe? Wearing the right spike during a competition is
extremely important. The evoSPEED spike has a really good fit, they are so
comfortable to wear and it is so light – it almost feels like you’re not
wearing a shoe. All these things make it easy to get up to high speed in a very
short time.
Earlier
this year you got to meet Prince Harry. How much of honour was this to you? Meeting Prince Harry was a great experience. Of
course it is an absolute honour for an athlete to get the chance to meet someone
of the royal family. Harry was very down-to-earth and a fun guy. Maybe I will
get to meet him again in London – he said he would come to the after party!

STEVEN FINN!
England fast bowler!
You’re involved in a Junior Journo competition.
Tell us about that…
Basically it’s a way
of getting youngsters involved in cricket. It’s offering kids the opportunity
to watch cricket and write a report on the games in the Clydesdale Bank 40. The
winner gets the opportunity to come to Lords and watch the final, write a
report, and get to meet some of the players and hang about in the press box.
Is
it right you were a budding journalist yourself before you started playing cricket?
I’ve always enjoyed
writing, I still keep a diary all about cricket. I did it a lot more when I was
younger but I’ve lost touch a little bit since playing cricket but it’s still
something I enjoy doing.
It’s a big summer for England – what are your
predictions?
I think England will
do very well. It’s hard to predict series’ but I think England have a strong
position. We obviously want to win all the one-day test series and I think
we’re good enough to do that.
What’s the funniest thing anyone has ever said
to you during a match?
Ha-ha! There’s not too
many witty people in cricket! Graeme Swann gives me a bit of stick during
matches. We’ve been friends for a while so he gives me stick about having a big
nose which makes me laugh. Any of my England teammates I come up against always
give me stick about my big nose actually!
What’s the banter like with Swann? Is he the joker?
Yeah he is. It’s a good
to laugh with him and at him so he’s good to have in the dressing room. Having
someone like that around always helps as he’s always up for a laugh.
What advice would you give young cricketers?
Enjoy it. That’s the
main thing; it can be quite a frustrating game at times. I’m lucky that I’m
playing cricket with some good mates. We’re basically friends that go out and
happen to play cricket together. When we’re on tour we do lots of stuff that a
normal group of friends would do, it’s like being back at school in away.
Do you play practical jokes in the dressing
room?
Yeah people cut the
ends off people’s socks all the time. Underpants get ripped a lot as well so
when you put them on and pull them up they go right up to your nipples!
Is Jimmy Anderson as vain as people say he is?
Yeah! Jimmy carries
around a mirror in his wallet. So, he’s always looking at himself. Plus he’s
got a load of hair product in his car at all times.
Is Tim Bresnan as daft as he seems?
He’s as daft as he
seems and as daft as he looks, yeah! He is as daft as they come, he’s not the
most blessed but he’s a lovely bloke and very funny. A lot of the jokes are at
his expense though.
Can you tell us a secret about an England teammate?
Graeme Swann wears pink cycling shorts when he plays cricket.
